Guess Designer Watch

Another gift I was lucky to receive was a gorgeous watch from Guess, brought (as you can see from the picture) at H.Samuel.
I do like buying my jewellery from them, they always seem to be doing some offer or another. It's important when you know you want to buy a designer watch that you acquire it through a reputable source. There is a growing temptation to buy the next bargain off the internet on some sites like eBay but you might not always get what you signed up for. The seller may not be using real pictures of their product, not actually send the product at all or be 'flogging' a fake. There are so many fakes out there, easily accessible to fraudulent sellers so it's so important you get your facts straight before sending money, particularly if you intend to pay a lot for it, as you might not get it back!

But back to what watch I chose and why...

Watch - Guess

Before I was only using my DKNY watch, as you have probably seen from my other blog posts. It's a fantastic watch that's great for everyday use, but I was keen to get a small delicate watch, like this one, for special occasions and outfits that required a more delicate touch as my DKNY one, which is a little chunky for some events. This one struck me immediately. I love it's vintage style square face with it's gold embossed Roman numerals. I was keen also to find one that was jewelled to add extra femininity and glamour and so chose this one that is encrusted with many diamonds. Luckily, as well, it has detachable links in its chain so that you are easily able to adjust the strap size, which is ideal for me, I have to have it on the smallest possible as I have very small wrists.

Watch - Guess

It also came in this sexy little bag with a silk cushion so it can be kept in perfect condition. Much better than most watches that might come in a drab box that doesn't look good to be left out, this can easily be kept on a dresser or bed side table without standing out badly. Beauty and practicality.

For me the watch is the epitome of elegance, grace and sophistication. I'm so glad I found it! I really think the diamonds add an extra chic feeling and the gold makes it totally ideal for glamorous occasions.

Looking forward to it featuring in future posts!

What's your top tips for designer buying? And what's your favourite watch design?

Swarovski Jewellery

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I've had heaps to do at uni. To bring us back in the swing of things, here is a post about my amazing new jewellery I was given for my birthday.
Over the next few days I'll write about some of the various wonderful gifts I received this month for my birthday and the items I have brought with birthday money.
My wonderful boyfriend brought me jewellery from Swarovski. I'm a huge fan of their jewellery!! That and Tiffany&Co. are my absolute favourites! He really spoilt me as it was quite a big one this year.

Diamond earrings - Swarovski

This is a picture from my romantic meal I had with him for my birthday and I'm wearing these HUGE Swarovski diamond earrings. I've always wanted some, so was absolutely thrilled when he surprised me with them! I'm not sure technically what size they are unfortunately, but as you can see from the picture its big. I highly recommend Swarovski. Their quality is outstanding, you know you'll have it for a lifetime. Most of all they make you feel a 'million dollars'!

Gold and Silver, Diamond Necklace - Swarovski

He also lavished me with this incredible necklace, also from Swarovski. I adore the two hearts entwining so romantically! It is called the 'Match Necklace' and for good reason. It's an 'on-trend mixture' with one being a gold heart and the other a silver one with Swarovski crystals and according to their website, symbolises unity and love. It goes perfectly with the 'Match Ring' he brought me for my birthday last year that I treasure.

All of their pieces are stunning, timeless classics that one can certainly see passing down to their children and grandchildren. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality, at a reasonable price for what they are and something to make you feel like a celebrity!

What's your favourite jewellery brand?

Tomorrow I will post about my designer watch and what to watch out for!

Girls' Night

Another birthday celebration I had was a night with my besties from university. We decided to go out for a meal and then have a girls' night in watching chic flicks and painting our nails etc.!
The restaurant wasn't too posh and as we didn't go out after we thought we'd dress 'smart-casual' for the evening. I wore a silk cami and black skinny jeans from River Island and my casual blazer and stilettos from New Look.

Necklace - Swarovski
Blazer - New Look
Cami - River Island
Bracelet - Tiffany and Co.
Watch - DKNY
Skinny Jeans - River Island
Heels - New Look

We all shared this awesome milkshake at the restaurant! A 2L milkshake in what was basically a bucket! It was chocolate flavour with chocolate sauce, a thick layer of cream and brownies on top! Aptly named 'Death By Chocolate'!

I decided to have the vegetarian 'flat bread', which was basically a oval shaped pizza. It was so nice! And then we all shared some nachos too...we were stuffed!

We then went back to mine and put on Just Go With It whilst we painted each other's nails. We used Accessorize 4D Nails and it worked sooo well!

4D Nail polish - Accessorize

You have to just put on 2 layers of the base nail polish and then pour the beads on top. Though make sure you have something like a bowl or paper with a crease in to catch the beads as they will go everywhere!

My friend did it for us all and I did it for her. She was very talented! Thankfully the packet of beads had a nozzle for easy application. It's also made of rubber so it's able to be easily taken off and be turned upside-down to become a filter so you're easily able to put the beads you catch back it.

You had to shake it and pour it a few times to get enough beads to come out. The beads can get trapped and block up the nozzle a bit.
Below she's here doing my nails.

Here's a picture of all our nails together. The colour looks great on anyone! We thought it looked like wonderful little cupcakes on our nails!

We also had some wonderful teas as well, pink grapefruit, and Twinings Strawberry and Mango Tea
all with some organic honey in wonderful teapots and teacups.
