I went to a wedding last weekend, as you may know if you read my wedding hats and fascinators post (here) and I chose to wear items from Ted Baker's new range. I put together their gorgeous cami (post about it available here) and matching skirt to make a unique outfit that together look like a cute dress. This two piece design is very in at the moment, there are lots of matching tops and skirts that you can put together to make a dress or mix and match to make an even more unique design.
Ted Baker do have two stunning dresses in this pattern, one in a bodycon silhouette (available here onTed Baker website) and another as a strapless maxi dress (available here on Ted Baker website). It's not surprising, the design is just darling, you could have anything in it!

The skirt is a luxurious satin material with netting underneath to add fabulous extra volume and shape. It was super comfortable to wear all day and is an ideal length. It also had a pleated design so that also added volume as well as a pretty shape and movement. I chose the full skirt (available here on Ted Baker website) but they do another skirt in the same pattern which is more fitted and slightly shorter (available here on Ted Baker website).
I had a red clutch to match too, not pictured I'm afraid, and ended up having no bolero or shawl as it was so hot and I didn't want to distract from my outfit at all.
I added a belt in the middle to finish it off and make it look more like a dress. As far as I could tell everyone believed it to be a dress so they do go together beautifully. You could add a nice sash or gem belt to create a look like this too but I went with a maxi width waist belt with gold detail at the front for extra glamour.

I thought I'd bring out the pretty flowers in the design more by having red accessories. I chose this amazing red fascinator from Phase Eight which has delicate feathers. It was so big that it is worn with a small red band that is easily able to be hid in your hair. I finished off this look with bright red heels from River Island. These were bought a couple years ago so are no longer available but keep a look out on ebay etc. as you may be able to find them second hand.
Due to these bold red accessories, I chose to keep my other accessories simple. You can't really tell in these pictures but I wore Swarovski diamond earrings and a delicate Swarovski necklace with matching ring, as well as a gold chic watch from Guess.
Like my hair? Check out tomorrow's post for a how-to.
