I thought the sun had totally left for August but I was blessed with one more gloriously sunning day and so I thought I'd chuck on my favourite summer purchase, Zara's SS'14 crochet skort. Skorts are a fabulous idea, especially for sports or windy weather! I always struggle to find shorts that are small or thin enough to go under my mini skirts. This is a little different on the design, it looks like a cute skirt at the front but from the back and under the fold at the front it looks like shorts.

It's a fabulous summer addition! The fabric is a great thickness, light and airy for hot summer days whilst not being see-through so you don't need to worry about any embarrassing moments. I coupled this with just a casual tank top from New Look. I chose a plain design so that the detail on the skort would stand out but with a stunning skort like this you can get away with wearing a bright top like I have here or a pastel colour.

The detailing's so beautiful too and its great that the flower design goes beyond the skirt. The skirt's also perfect to wear on the beach! I wore it to the beach this summer and the colour and fabric doesn't show up the sand if you get any on you and it's fab to slip on and off over your bikini.
